During exercise, vital fluids and nutrients are lost from the body through sweating. These fluids and nutrients provide the fuel the body needs to continue with prolonged activity.
Muscles are 70% water and therefore they cannot function at maximum levels whilst exercising if we are dehydrated. Met-Rx Isotonic Drink Mix is designed to provide a balanced formula of carbohydrates and electrolytes which are lost during exercise.
An isotonic drink is one that is in balance with the osmolality of the body fluids, which means that it contains the same amount of carbohydrate and electrolyte particles (such as sodium and potassium) that are found naturally in the body.
Suitable for vegetarians.
This product contains caffeine.
FREE FROM: Wheat, gluten, yeast, lactose, preservatives.
Ingredients:
Sucrose, maltodextrin, citric acid, flavourings, sodium citrate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, choline bitartrate, L-phenylalanine, caffeine, vitamin C (as ascorbic acid), taurine, L-tyrosine, inositol, magnesium carbonate, color (beta carotene), vitamin E (as di-alpha tocopherol acetate).
Recommended Usage:
Add 1 scoop (42.5g) to 500ml of cold water to make a drink. Drink 250-300ml 3-5 minutes before exercise. After exercise, drink 250-500ml.
